Fellowship

Each post-doctoral fellow will receive a research grant of 140,000 SEK (UGX 57,400,000). The grant is expected to provide support for research costs, minor equipment, regional/international conferences, field study and applications.

Type 2 diabetes (T2D) is increasingly contributing to the global burden of disease with health systems struggling to effectively manage prevention and control. This necessitates contextually appropriate, policy relevant solutions with high scale-up potential.

The Government of Uganda and Government of Sweden have renewed their research cooperation agreement for the next five years (2015 – 2020). The main objective of the bilateral research cooperation is to increase the capacity of Makerere and Partner public Universities to generate knowledge and promote research uptake for national and regional development.
